April 2017 – I applied to the “Young Researchers Award 2016 Contest” (Concurso para Investigadores Jóvenes 2016) from Fundación Copec UC. I got awarded for the project Instrument with objective measures for an autonomous training. With this grant, our team Simulmedic will be able to package part of our technology and ensure the development of our MVP. The money awarded is around 80.000.000 CLP (around 130K). As the PI, I had to first make an application, then we had to, as a team, present to different boards (directors and a financial board). We competed with a lot of basic sciences proposals. This is why we are very happy with the outcome, we are the second entrepreneurship that is from the biomedical device area.
